Walk to End Alzheimer’s 2019
Registration, donation, and tracking forms are now available in a fold-er in the back of the sanctuary for those interested in joining us on Saturday, September 21st, for the annual “Walk to End Alzheimer’s.” All are welcome to join us. Our team’s name is “Church of the Holy Cross.” Registration starts at 7 am, opening ceremony at 8 and then the official start of the walk. The walk will be at Lili`uokalani Garden, around the perimeter, at your own pace (1, 2 or 3 times around). Those who raise $100 or more will get a t-shirt. If you raise more, other gifts are available! We will meet at our upper parking lot at 7 am to pool rides to the Garden. If you have a Holy Cross t-shirt, please wear it, or something purple, or something comfortable!
We have been participating in this Walk for several years now, and have been honored for raising funds to help the Alzheimer’s Association provide services for Big Island residents. Patrick Toal of the Alzheimer’s Association works with our Caregivers Support Group that meets at our church on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and is open to community participation.
Anyone unable to join us for the Walk, but would like to help support our team, may make donations to the “Alzheimer’s Association,” a non-profit organization. Please give your check to one of our walkers. If you have any questions/concerns, please see Anne and let her know if you’ll be walking! Thank you for your support!
