Finding Our Way Forward – March 6, 2018
In all our lives – as individuals, as families, as churches – we find it useful, even necessary, to take time to think about who we are, what we have done, what we might do, and how we might do it.
This is such a time in the Hawai’i Conference of the UCC, which has engaged in a strategic planning process this year. Together, we are the Hawai’i Conference UCC. Your voice is absolutely vital to our future – and we need to hear insights from your perspective.
Cynthia Scherr, the Strategic Planning Consultant for the Conference, will be in Hilo on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at the Church of the Holy Cross, to meet with you, to listen to your feedback, and to look ahead to who God is calling us to be, and what God is calling us to do.
An early meeting time has been set aside for those who are 40 years old and under, the emerging generation of leaders in the Hawai’i Conference; this first session runs from 5:00 to 6:15 pm. A second session from 6:30 to 8:00 pm is open to everyone.
The Strategic Plan will set the direction of the Conference’s journey over the next 20 years. Let us join together and, in the words of the planning committee: “huaka’i saili matagi – find our way forward.”
