Walks with a Purpose – October 27 and 28

Join in commemorating October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month by participating in the Family Peace Walk and Vigil on Friday evening, October 27, beginning at 4:00 pm with sign-waving at the King Kamehameha statue and a walk to the Aupuni Center. Afterwards, come join in our regular Community Sing at 6:00 pm at Church of the Holy Cross!

Beginning at 7:30 am on Saturday, October 28, the YWCA holds its annual “Walk a Mile Her Shoes”, which raises hopes to prevent sexual assault by raising awareness and also helps fund the YWCA’s counseling services for survivors. Pastor Eric will walk again this year. Learn more at www.ywcahawaiiisland.org.
