Boys in Hats Return to Hilo!
The folk/acoustic duo Boys in Hats will perform once again at Church of the Holy Cross on Friday evening, July 28th, at 7:30 pm. They’ll bring their irrepressible humor, their close harmony and back-and-forth counter-point, and, of course, their distinctive facial hair and hats.
Eric Anderson and Paul Bryant-Smith have sung together for over twenty years without letting age mature them very much. An evening with them may include original songs, traditional sea chanteys from the Age of Sail, folk songs of the British Isles, contemporary acoustic numbers from John McCutcheon and Stan Rogers, and more recently some sounds of the Hawaiian Islands.
Be prepared to sing along! Eric and Paul believe that the best way to share music is to sing it together.
There is no admission charge to enter and no training required to sing. Let the music play!
Church of the Holy Cross is located at 440 W. Lanikaula St. in Hilo. A congregation of the United Church of Christ, it is dedicated to lifting hearts and serving needs in the community.
