Sunday, Sept 14 – UCC Missionary to Japan and Church Picnic

We welcome Martha Mensendiek, UCC missionary to Japan, on September 14, 2014 during Worship Service (10:00 am).  She works at Doshisha University, a Christian university, with a history of being in solidarity with the poor and discriminated class in Japanese society, as well as in the wider world. Its School of Theology and Department of Social Welfare have a long history in Japan. Martha teaches and helps build awareness around the world. She appreciates working with minorities and women, including migrant workers and those exploited in the sex industry. She will be our guest preacher on this Sunday.

The church picnic follows Worship Service with bento lunches, games and fun for all ages!
